In a February episode of Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang's podcast,Las Culturistas,Tina Fey used an instant catchphrase to caution Yangabout publicly sharing his pop-culture opinions now that he'sSNL-level famous: "Authenticity is dangerous and expensive." It's a sentiment Rogers and Yang know well.Las Culturistasis at its best when the co-hosts candidly share personal takes with their listeners, but as their careers move further up the Hollywood ladder, they have begun to pull back. Ahead of the podcast's annual live Culture Awards in Brooklyn this weekend, Jason P. Frank spoke with the pair about their evolving relationship to fame and their audience.
