Dear Valued Backers,
\xa0
We wanted to provide an update on the current status of the Haul Pack production.
\xa0
\xa0
Nathan is currently at the factory, evaluating the production team’s work as they transition from pre-production to production. Once Nathan completes the quality control (QC) of these initial bulk production pieces, the production team will proceed with bulk assembly, staging each set of processes to efficiently move through this first production.
\xa0
We anticipate that products will start shipping 115 days after Nathan completes the QC of these initial pieces. This timeline includes cutting, sewing, welding, various inline QC processes, packing, and final QC.
\xa0
Please note that almost no steps in the production of the G7 Haul Pack are ordinary. Everything from our sewing machines to our welding and pressing and other processes are custom built or customized machinery. Subsequently we are making small improvements to deal with how the machines work in high volume production. This will allow the production team to be efficient at the quality we’ve set.
\xa0
Here are the blemishese he is dealing with.
\xa0
*Welding blemish. Adjusting machine settings to account for.\xa0
\xa0
*Stitch count error. Implementing additional QA step to mange better.\xa0
\xa0
If our yield in bulk production is slower than estimated, we will update you accordingly. Any delays would likely only affect the ship date by a couple of weeks.
\xa0
To ensure you receive your Haul Packs as quickly as possible, all orders will be air-shipped.
\xa0
Thank you for your patience and continued support.
\xa0
Warm regards,
Tempei Takeuchi
