Hi all backers,

We are excited to announce a new shipping estimate for the Botanium Vega. We expect to start shipping from our factory to our distribution centers in October this year. Once at the distribution centers, it might take a few more weeks for the products to reach you, our backers.

Mass production is scheduled to start in August, and we are currently assembling a series of Vega testing units, complete with electronics and sensors. These units will undergo a brief trial period to ensure everything functions perfectly before we commence mass production.

Detailed Progress Update

We have continued to refine various components of Vega to ensure their manufacturability. These refinements are crucial for streamlining the production process and maintaining quality.

As mentioned in our previous update, adjustments have been made to parts involved in the operation of the hatch. During these adjustments, we discovered that the plastic springs initially designed for the hatch were prone to snapping due to a manufacturing error. This has led us to reconsider and select a different type of plastic that enhances the durability and functionality of these springs.

We are pleased to report that we have received samples of the water tank and the growing container in their respective final colors. The water tank now features mainly a matte, white finish, while the growing container boasts a glossy, smooth and dark grey surface that facilitates easier cleaning after each growth cycle.

We are also inte the process of calibrating the electronics with the new manufactured parts of the growing container and water tank, since these materials affect the water level sensor differently than the previously used 3d printed parts.

We are getting very close now and are incredibly grateful to all our backers for their continued support. Your understanding is crucial as we make these final adjustments to bring you the best possible version of Vega.
