Font Field Guides
  • Quiverleaf Arabic CF Font Field Guide: With delicate shapes and an airy, light design, Quiverleaf Arabic CF does best when used as a display typeface. For very large text, including logos and posters, the lighter weights can be used for the most dramatic visual effect.
  • Garino Font Field Guide: Garino can be used in both a restrained and expressive way. The wide selection of styles makes it suitable for strong headlines and extensive body text. Completed with an extensive character collection, it becomes a real workhorse.
The Manual
  • Typography for Older Adults: According to the 2020 Census: 1 in 6 people in the United States were 65, and over. Current surveys show that 61% of those aged 65-74, use the Internet regularly. That’s a lot of eyeballs.
  • Captions Manual: A picture may be worth a thousand words but, most of the time, it’s likely to have a caption anyway. Not quite body text and not quite subheads, captions tend to be among the most-read portions of a textual document – on screen or in print. The thing is: not just any font will perform well for captions.

Creative Characters:
  • Santi Rey: In 2014, the Spanish typeface designer Santi Rey, now 35, left his hometown of Madrid for London. Despite speaking little English at the time, he was determined to explore new job opportunities and expand his horizons. It was during this time that Santi discovered his passion for type and branding design, as well as his love for crafting compelling origin stories for his fonts.
