PIERRE FREY ‘OBERNAI’, CHASE ERWIN ‘EMBRACE’ AND NOBILIS ‘CLEO’
This Pierre Frey jacquard tapestry seen on the bar stools and cushions really is something special…it is based on the repetition of a detail of an old 17th century tapestry from the Pierre Frey archives. It evokes an abstract landscape sublimated by time, thanks to its worn weaving effect. To us, it was reminiscent of the beautiful rolling countryside in the surrounding areas of this luxury farm house in Berkhamsted. ‘Cleo’, by Nobilis, which we used for the fixed back cushion of the sofa is inspired by the world of fashion; it reminded us of a luxe Chanel tweed suit jacket, so it really added a sense of sophistication to this orangery. This perfectly contrasts ‘Embrace’ by Chase Erwin, a green bouclé fabric upholstered on to the seat cushions of this bespoke low profile sofa. This clever blend of high quality luxury fabrics transformed a simplistic orangery into an opulent home bar.
