In her four years on campus at the University of Iowa, Caitlin Clark has transformed women’s basketball with her ability to score in bunches and her team-first attitude. The Hawkeye is on pace to break the record for career points in the sport. Clark also just broke a record when her 2022-23 Bowman University Superfractor Rookie Auto in a\xa0PSA 10 grade with a 10 autograph sold through PWCC for \\$78,000. That’s the highest-selling women’s basketball card ever. ASerena Williams rookie cardholds the all-time record for a women’s card at \\$266,400. |

For collectors looking to hit on the next big MLB stars, needed intel always arrives at the end of January when MLB Pipeline releases its preseasonTop 100 Prospects listleading into Spring Training. The names that highlight the exclusive group this year are star-studded. The Chicago Cubs have an MLB-high seven players on the list. The Baltimore Orioles have six guys, led by the No. 1 overall prospect, Jackson Holliday. Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio comes in at No. 2. Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, the top pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, is the third-ranked prospect. Keep an eye out for these big-time prospects when theMLB Spring Breakouttakes place in mid-March. |
The MLB Hall of Fame is an exclusive fraternity. Before this year’s voting, 342 members have been enshrined at the sacred grounds in Cooperstown, New York. The Baseball Writers’ Association of America announced athree-player class for 2024: smooth-hitting Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer, stellar third baseman Adrián Beltré, and power-hitting Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton. Mauer and Beltré are first-ballot selections, while Helton got in on his sixth attempt. To share a home with Ruth, Cobb, Aaron, Mantle, and other MLB greats, players must have their names checked by at least 75% of ballots submitted. Beltré led the way with 95.1%. Contemporary Baseball Era Committee electee Jim Leyland is also in the class. The induction ceremony will be held on July 21 in Cooperstown. |
The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers have won a combined 11 world championships. One franchise is one game away from adding another Lombardi Trophy to its display case after both teams won their conference championships over the weekend.
