If you read this newsletter, you know by now that we need no reason to rave about fashion shows. But we do have a good one. Two actually. Vogue World Paris is a little over a week away, and in October our Forces of Fashion summit is devoted to all things runway. To get the ball rolling, we reminisced about favorite shows from days gone by. The list is as eclectic as Vogue’s editors and reflects the signal style moments of the last several decades, among them the Japanese arrival in Paris; ’90s grunge, goth, and “ugly chic”; Y2K glam; the return of minimalism; and the rise of both repurposed fashion and gender-fluidity. Enjoy!
