Fragrance For the Win

The mood was celebratory at the Fragrance Foundation awards last week and why not — scent posted the highest percentage growth of any category in the prestige market in Q1 this year, according to Circana, and consumer interest has never been higher.

The breadth of this year’s winners demonstrated the strength of the category, with the awards evenly spread out between designer brands, niche players, a couple of classics and even a celebrity — Parlux took home the Consumer Choice award for the third year running with this year’s iteration of its blockbuster Billie Eilish franchise.

Beauty market editor James Manso made the rounds while the champagne flowed, with a report this week on how industry insiders plan on continuing the momentum throughout the year.
